About Kayla
Having the opportunity to be a therapist means the world to me
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by a deep interest in understanding people—their stories, their struggles, and their capacity for growth. Over time, that curiosity grew into a commitment to helping others navigate anxiety, depression, and the lasting impact of trauma. Through my training and experience, I’ve learned that meaningful change happens in the presence of a safe, supportive relationship, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients in that process.
Why I Became
a Therapist
I was introduced to therapy at a young age while supporting a classmate through a challenging family experience. Witnessing that space of care and understanding sparked something in me, and I knew early on that I wanted to be part of that kind of meaningful work.
Becoming a therapist was a natural extension of my belief that people are capable of growth, even in the face of anxiety, depression, and trauma. My work is rooted in helping clients better understand themselves, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives and relationships.

My Therapeutic Approach
This is the space to outline your areas of expertise and the specific services you offer to clients. Highlight your core competencies and the depth of knowledge you bring to each practice area.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
We'll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop practical strategies to shift unhelpful patterns.
Trauma-Informed Care
I understand that trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the mind. Our work will honor your pace and prioritize your sense of safety above all else.
Mindfulness-Based Techniques
I'll introduce grounding and mindfulness practices to help you stay present, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with your body.
FFT (Functional Family Therapy)
For families looking to engage in treatment, FFT can help improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen relationships.
CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)
For clients dealing with trauma and PTSD, CPT can be a powerful tool for processing painful memories and reducing their emotional charge.
